Family sociodrama – A three-day workshop
This workshop focuses on healing within the family system and other significant relationships, past and present. It is intended both for people interested in personal development and those who work with people’s health—an event for all people to develop their capacities. If you work with people’s health, you can build on the work you already do and gain confidence and competence working with individuals or couples. And if you come for personal development there will be opportunity for healing and growth.
Together, we will create a sociodramatic family, and enact the relationships in this family. Although not the family system of any one person in the group, the family is alive in the workshop, and becomes a mirror of the group and our lives. Family dynamics will emerge that connect to our own family patterns—including patterns we didn’t even know we had. We will feel them fully from many perspectives, then as we step out, something will shift and we will see ourselves more clearly. With awareness, we can step back in as healers. For three days, we will practice the healing arts together.
I could have called this workshop many things—Healing Family Systems, Developing the Healing Arts, Learning to Give and Receive Care. At a basic level, it is a Family Sociodrama and we’ll see what we make of that.
