The Systems We Live In – A sociodramatic exploration with Cissy Rock
We all live, work, and play in systems — families, workplaces, communities, to name a few. These systems shape how we connect, how we care, and sometimes how we clash. They carry hidden patterns, unspoken rules, and social forces that can both support us and hold us back. At times, they can also be dehumanising, reducing people to numbers, cases, or roles.
In this experiential workshop, we’ll bring a system to life and explore it together in action. Through the process, we will:
Identify the characteristics that define a system and how it functions
Uncover the invisible forces that drive behaviour and relationships within the system
Discover what hinders us, what helps us, and what new responses are possible
Recognise our own contributions in making systems more human
This workshop is designed for people who work with people — social workers, therapists, family workers, facilitators, community practitioners — and anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of systems and strengthen their impact within them.
