The Playful Art of Talking about Sex
Why does starting a conversation in a committed intimate relationship on the subject of sex seem so damn difficult or even impossible? It’s not much fun is it? Everyone starts sweating or shivering or both. Everyone suddenly has more important things to do like going to sleep or watching TV. Why is that? It’s such a silly thing to be doing that surely there is some way to just bloody talk about it, isn’t there?
As my cousin commented 'If you can't talk about it you probably shouldn't be doing it!'
Let’s make it fun and normal
If you are tired of the awkward silences that surround discussions about sex or if the challenge to broach this vital topic defeats you, then join me for an enlightening workshop where we explore the playful side of discussing sex.
We will not be discussing problems with sex, or better ways to do sex, or any of the many topics you might find in lifestyle magazines or online. We will be discussing:
· the various levels of discussing sex,
· the ways we avoid discussing sex,
· how very normal it is to find discussing sex difficult
· why discussing sex is difficult,
· why everything supports discussing sex always being challenging and
· considering some very handy models to help you if you decide to.
And in the process, ironically, we will be discussing sex. By approaching the subject in this way, you and the group will find that discussing sex is something that can be plain and ordinary.
Once you get to plain and ordinary, you can then begin to add in fun, playfulness, and mucking around.
It's for everyone
Whether single, in a relationship, just curious or simply want to find a fun way to explore a taboo topic, " The Playful Art of Talking about Sex" is a judgment-free zone for improving your capacity to approach this often troubling area with grace and good humour.
Join me for a workshop that's informative and immensely fun! Let's make talking about sex something that is productive rather than a painful journey into shame or embarrassment. This workshop is not designed to fix you but to help you develop a map of where you are now, where you might want to go, and how to get there with particular focus on roadblocks and chasms, and avoidable dangers. No magic fixes, no tricks, no gimmicks. There will be like minded folks who are interested to learn. So come and learn from other people’s stories and contribute your own as well. We will be using group processes, particularly psychodrama, sociometry, and other action methods that do not rely on 'just talking about it'.
There are some basic counter intuitive ideas that will also be imparted that will help you enormously so that you leave with clarity and direction.
