symbol, Vesica Piscis |
Let the circle be one to show all things complete. Describe another circle with the same radius. Let them intersect such that the centre of each lies on the circumference of the other. This is the vesica piscis. Something so simple, yet the structure has so much of what comes after (the larger numbers) inherent in its structure. The Vesica Piscis is a foundation of sacred geometry (Lawlor, 1982). It has astonishing properties. Certain ratios that cannot be precise in number, are precise in form. The proportions replicate and multiply and can be seen in the forms and structures of life. |
